New LOOT Active Camera

Attention all budding directors and people looking to express themselves creatively through shooting short films, video talk shows, machinima, or those who want to be able to give video tours of your personal spaces within PS Home. This Thursday, September 29, developers extraordinaire LOOT are releasing the new “LOOT Active Camera”. Originally if users in Home wanted to film their experiences or create video projects they would have to purchase and figure out how to use a separate video capture card or device. That no longer is the case. After you finish filming with the Active Camera the footage can then either be uploaded to your YouTube account, or saved to the hard drive on the PS3 and will show up in the video section of the X-Media Bar.

The footage can then be chopped up to your liking in the video editor provided on the X-Media Bar or saved to a USB flash/thumb drive and be edited in the program of your choosing. LOOT has made the point of entry extremely easy for those looking to show off their creative skills. The Active Camera will cost $2.99 as an individual item. For $4.99 the “Ultimate Machinima Bundle” is available. This pack includes the “LOOT Active Camera”, the “LOOT Active Light”, and the “LOOT Modular Stage Set 3″ personal space. The Modular Stage Set gives users three huge retractable backdrops along with the ability to set different colors and materials for the flooring. There are plenty of other set bundles that allow users to come up with original concepts, shoot a “Tonight Show” style talk show, or with the upcoming LOOT Industries Office Furniture bundle recreate their favorite moments from the hit show “The Office” or the movie “Office Space”( yeah… you see we’re putting the cover sheets on all TPS reports now before they go out ). The Active Camera can be used in any of your personal spaces. Any items that people have can be used for your productions. If you’ve already purchased the existing camera or “Modular Stage Set 3″ your camera will automatically be upgraded for free this Thursday. “Make it, Record it, and Share it”. You know I definitely will.
