Podcast Ninjas ep6
Episode 6 of the Podcast Ninjas features, BorderBrother, Drayco, Tempestbladesong and special money topic guest “MapleSyrupGhost” This weeks episode focuses on the topics:
- PSHome Update and the disscussion of Avatars and their abilities.
- Should the avatar clothing have more customization and should we have a larger range of animations such as dance moves.
- Hide in plain site, are the novelty items becoming to much?
- The Money topic on “Skyrim Mods and mods in general”, are they going to create a positive or negative impact on the developer and consumer community.

@Drayco: I think its totally fair for these devs to put tools out there for modders. They are designed to allow players to have a taste of design. Learning to use a modding tool is an extreamly small part of the whole picture that is Game Design… and Tempest just took the words out of my mouth with the LBP reference haha.
But to my point. Microsoft has an engin for like $100 bucks that anyone can pick up and start publisching on XBL and there are tons of other platforms out there very similar. The unreal engin, if im not mistaken is available to the public as well. If no one is willing to go out and pick up these tools learn to use them and start making games why are we worried about mods for skyrim?
Just focus on honing your skills and get with a great dev team *cough couch* and you will be fine

Great show! I really liked Drayco’s point on bringing up user generated content for Home. I’m sure the devs in Home want to do it, but Sony is holding them back. If this is the generation of user created content and giving power to the players, you would think with something like PSN home would only make Home more appealing with more gamers.
Can’t wait to hear what Episode 7 will bring
@ Drayco: I can honestly say that the Drey line for the female avatar is rather a unique experience. One can agree with what you’re saying; in fact, my impression was the exact same as yours. I just came to the conclusion that it is, well……different and that is where Drey truly shines. I can show you some styles if you’re interested. I think you will enjoy it.
On Home: The novelty items on Home I pay no attention to. It’s just not me and it would be a waste of my money on something that I will only wear maybe once out of a blue moon, especially if it is not enjoyable. Too trendy and you’ll never see me wear it.
On more animations for your avatars, it is about time someone agrees with me on this. I think they should give us more animations and have some optional animations available in the store for a small price. While I can be content with what we have now, seriously…..they are now out-dated. =

The 4.00 Update caught me by surprise with some options that I know for SURE most, if not all, will love. The drawback for me is now you can’t install any PSP titles on your PS3 system to copy onto your PSP but at least now you can prepare for your Vita once it’s released.
On Games: DC Universe Online has been occupying my time right now. The next game on the list for me is King of Fighter XIII, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, and a slew of other Action/Adventure games on the way like Darksiders 2 and Ashura’s Wrath.
This podcast was pretty good and I am looking forward to the next episode.
