Sony PlayStation Home’s Gothic Manor

Sony’s PlayStation Home  Gothic Manor has been released.  At first view, the Gothic Manor could be perceived as a ‘specialty’ personal space that would only appeal to a select few;  but after taking the opportunity to explore the space, I came to the conclusion that the Gothic Manor could very well appeal to a larger group of users for the simple fact that it is a very ‘theme-based’ space…   perfect for that special event that calls out for something on the creepy side, maybe you are planning on hosting a special costume party in PlayStation Home?  or maybe you are thinking of delving into your creative side and use it for a machinima project that you may have been contemplating on producing? or maybe you simply want to own a space that practcally SCREAMS out for you to go into your storage section of your wardrobe and put on a ‘period ensemble’ outfit?  something that will make you feel right at home on Home?   Whatever the reason is, the Gothic Manor will make a distinctive addition to anybody’s collection.

When you first appear in the Gothic Manor, you notice the simplicity in it’s design and the extensive attention to detail.  you are in the main room of the mansion, and you notice a staircase leading to a second floor upstairs and a private upstairs porch where you can enjoy the evening sky.

Going outside into the courtyard,  you first notice the lighting is just dim enough to create the perfect ambience yet bright enough for anybody to notice the great attention to detail in the outer courtyard as it is illuminated by the night time stars.

If anybody who purchases the Gothic Manor owns at least 3 pieces (not counting the garage)  to the Sony PlayStation Home mansion which was released last Spring, you will notice a bonus ‘secret room’ under the staircase leading upstairs.

Anybody who owns this space will receive a “Gothic Goblet” and you will be able to “gift” this item to anybody who visits you.

If the Gothic Manor seems like the perfect little addition to your collection, don’t forget to check out the exclusive Gothic Manor furniture items available for sale, including a couch, lamps that light on/off, a coffee table and the Gothic Manor version of the active bed that allows for up to two avatars to lay down.

The Gothic Manor is a good addition for the person who is looking for that certain space that is perfect for a set piece.  ….a great theme-based costume party, an excellent set for filming your next macabre machinima project or simply a place to call Home.

I agree. I personally think this space is more of a theme and would cater to a specific crowd. I think the “bonus” is a joke completely. But in the end, it is a cool space for some nice, themed parties.

    Cool review BB!
