Playstation Home’s Top Ten Sales For January 2012

It’s our pleasure to give you PlayStation®Home’s top ten sales for the month of January, 2012.
Going back and looking at the top ten items sold within Home since October of last year, there is one thing you can count on. The Lockwood Token Pack and Mass Media Inc.’s The Green Ticket both have remained within the top three spots the entire time. During a conversation with the EIC of GamerIndepth, we wondered “are the prizes or games in the Midway spaces really that good”? I was thinking about it though, and realize with the Lockwood Token Packs people have the ability to gift exclusive items to their friends. Logically it’s always someones birthday, and holidays are always around the corner. People want to be able to send gifts to their friends or to their significant other.

With the Midway space and the 500 Chips credit that are used in the new Casino developed by Digital Leisure Inc. rounding out the top three last month, my perception is even though Home is primarily used for its social aspect, at heart the people within Home are gamers. That’s probably why they ultimately bought their PS3′s with Home being added in as a side bonus.

In January the new Casino was introduced bringing with it a ton of mini-games and new free rewards to acquire. The release of this new public space has been good to Digital Leisure placing three of their items in the top ten. Surprisingly after two solid months of being in the top ten Sony Pictures Entertainment- Hollywood Hills House (with Home Theater) was no where to be found. Matter of fact, the only two private estates that made the list are completely new. Those being ‘Creek Falls’ and ‘Red Bull House Of Skate’. People love bundles. Give us a ton of quality items and we’re in. That being said the SCEA 100 Item Super Bundle made the cut this month as well.
