In Harbinger #2 Peter finds himself being made an offer he can’t refuse! As Jay-Z would say it “get down with the clique or get found in a ditch!” Actually the Harbinger Foundation has been keeping their eye on him for quite sometime and after the public display of destruction that Peter was abliged to dish out in this issue, it was in his best interest to sign up. What if he didn’t? Let’s just say that, if he refused, every Military and Law Enforcement agency on the planet would have him pegged as Public Enemy numero uno!
You can expect the same emaculate dialogue and storytelling as well as the quirky teenage mindset that makes this book special. #1 issues are always tough acts to follow and as this book attempted to take us another furlong down the rabbit hole it only seemed to reiterate the plot points that were already established. That said, watching Peter unleash his Psiot potential on a hoard of Black Ops soldiers was gratifying.
Hats off to the art team! The flash back sequence was done with a grainy effect giving the reader a warm a fuzzy sensation, then the abrupt transition to the Black Ops raid on Peter and company. The range in art styles is a marvelous way to keep the reader immersed and the pages turning.
