The folks behind PS Home Project Runway are at it again. Project Runway 4 coming soon . (2-17-12) http://badd-inc.webs.com
If you been following my other posts on the old GI Forum about Project Runway 2: http://gamerindepth.net/forum/…..opic=819.0, then you have will have some idea about what this is about. It is a show unlike any other that I have been involved on PS Home. It is extremely well organized and is not just a regular fashion show contest. The main host is PrincessDomaro. She is the principle mastermind behind the show. But she has a full staff of people helping her. She has judges like mizz_evie and May2099 (also a GI member). GI's quasar338 is also involved in helping the models and designers by answering questions and giving advice. The competion revolves around both fashion designers and models. There are elaborate custom photo shoot sets created by May2099, who is a real life graphic designer. Not only has May designed the photo shoot sets, but also elaborate clubhouses too. In previous Project Runway seasons, she designed a separate runway clubhouse and workroom club house for design sessions (that's where the outfits were put together for the challenges). That is another unique facet to the competition is the use of multiple clubhouses for different parts of the show such as for meetings, runway show, judgement/deliberation, working design sessions, photo shoots, etc. May's graphic design skills are definitely reflected in her latest club house which is partitioned off to include different areas for a runway walk, work room area, and more. When you are there, you feel like you are in some kind of Hollywood set. The photo shoots are done with Adam_Bell, who is a real life photographer, and is a pleasure to work with. I have posted pics from my photo shoots with him on the PS Community Forum in the "Ladies Fashion Runway" thread (of course always giving credit to the pics taken by Adam). Some photo shoots are done in personal spaces and public spaces in addition to the sets that May creates.
I have been involved in the shows since Project Runway 2. Most recently I was in The Modeling Project, which was a competition for models only, and am happy to say that I came out one of the winners such that I would be one of the BADD Inc models for Project Runway. Currently the BADD Inc staff is currently looking for new designers for the next show, Project Runway 4. The deadline for registration of new designers is this Friday, February 3. Me & the other winners of The Modeling Project have earned our places as BADD Inc models for Project Runway 4. The models must have a lot of content to provide their designers with plenty to work with. The models must also be able to sell their fits. They do this by how they work the runway with how they walk, pose, and use combinations of poses, and actions to show off their designers' work. In the show, designers will be assigned to model and compete in weekly challenges. My designer and I made the final 3 in Project Runway 2. Even though, we didn't win, we had a lot of fun! I hear that Project Runway 4 is going to be even bigger than the past shows and will utilize 4 different clubhouses!
If you are interested in finding out more, go to their extensive web site: http://badd-inc.webs.com. There you can read more about The Modeling Project that I was just in, the upcoming Project Runway 4 show (looks like the posts for the previous seasons have been archived, but please refer to the aforementioned topic in the old forum), a calendar, a forum, and much more!
I have been meaning to write an article about my experience in Project Runway/The Modeling Project but haven't gotten around to it yet. When I do, I will post a link here for you all to read!

As May2099 mentioned in our last meeting, Project Runway 4 starts next Friday. I am so excited!!!
There was a class last Friday for all models and it was a lot of fun. All the models were quizzed on this standards document that had previously been given to all the models. Again, I can't say how much this whole thing is so well organized. Be sure to check out the website for more info and to follow the show: http://badd-inc.webs.com
For a list of the 12 designers, go to: http://badd-inc.webs.com/proje…..unway4.htm
The designer assigned to me is Bailey! Wish us luck!!!

To give you a little idea of the process of the shows, I'll tell you about the "PR4 Mock Up Show" we had a couple weeks ago (1/27).
Me and the other models (the winners of The Modeling Project) worked with designers, some of them were from past seasons of Project Runway. This was just for fun and for some of the newer models that hadn't gone thorugh the process yet. It was a good refresher and I think my designer and I came up with the best fit.
Here are some pics from that night, taken by Adam_Belll, Badd Inc.'s photographer:
Me working with my assigned designer, mizz_evie (I'm the one in the black top and gold shorts), in the "workroom" area of the club:

Now I have the completed fit on (I'm on the right):

All the models in their finished fits, standing on the red carpet. The red carpet was actually used as a runway for the models to show off thier fits. We walked from behind the wall in the back and came out and walke on the red carpet, posing on the 2 front corners, the 2nd corner is where we posed for individual pics.

All the models with their designers (I am in the middle with my designer to the left of me in the yellow slippers lol):

What is cool about the show, is that there will be 4 clubs that will be utilized for both the contest and for special events too. A few Saturdays ago (1/21), there was a beach party at South Granzella Beach for all the models that made it though The Modeling Project and were officially BADD Inc models for Project Runway. We had a great time. Here are a couple pics of us dancing in the water (I'm in the pink bathing suit lol):

Then the models and a couple of the judges got into what was to be our standard outfit for BADD Inc models and posed for a couple pics:

Sorry for not posting this earlier.
Well the much anticipated 1st challenge elimination of the Project Runway 4 show was 2 Friday's ago, 2/17, at 9pm EST and the competition was fierce! The show went on for a few hours, which is normal for the 1st show when we are trying to get settled withe all the models and designers. Again, there are 12 designers in this season of the show and each of them have been assigned a model. We were given a hint at a previous meeting: "Concrete Jungle". So what does that mean? Well we found out the night of the show. Women usually work in a "jungle" surrounded by walls and floors aka concrete. The challenge was to come up with a versatile look that could be worn at the office during the day and then also be worn out at night to a club/bar.
We started by all going to the workroom club so that the designers could work on creating the looks with their models. Me and my designer had met periodically that week to work on what we thought the challenge was going to be and for the most part we were right. My designer had come up with several looks to show me to discuss and then we both agreed on which one we thought was the best then made some tweeks until we liked the result. In the workroom on Friday, after finding out what the challenge really was, we took that fit and made some more adjustments to make the outit versatile for day and night. Our early preparation paid off and we were done in half the time allowed (we were all given an hour).
Next we headed over to the runway club where the models were to show off the looks to the judges on the runway. Unfortunately PrincessDom kept getting kicked from Home and so we got off to a late start. Because it was getting late, we decided after all the walks were complete and we took a group photo of all the models, that the judging and deliberation would take place on Monday night at 9pm EST.
Pics are posted http://badd-inc.webs.com. Please be sure to go there to follow the show.

Also, there was a meeting on Monday, 2/13, with all the designers and models where we discussed the logicstics of the show. It was more for the designers but the models came for support. This is my 4th show and 3rd PR show with the group so I already knew everything but there are a few changes this time. One of them is a "fan favorite" voting. Each week all the models and designers get to vote on who they think has the best look. Judges are of course excluded from voting and we are encourage not to vote for our own designer or designers to vote for themselves as that would defeat the purpose.
Here are a few pics taken by Adam_Bell at the meeting:

This week my designer and I worked on a retro fit. It was a tough challenge and we knew we had to step our game up given our performance from the 1st episode. Bailey and I finished our dress on Thursday night. There was a mask that she wanted me to wear, but I didn't have it. It was black and white. I did however find one in my wardrobe that was Black and Gold and there was gold in the dress and it looked good. Bailey really liked it too and we agreed that the fit was hot and I saved it. Then the show came on Friday and we were told about a twist to the challenge. We were asked to add a companion to compliment the outfit. We went to the workroom club and we ended up using a fox companion, which matched the colors of the fit perfectly. Our efforts paid off as the judges loved our fit. It was a very close decision between #1 and #2 they said. The winning design got a photo shoot with Adam_Bell, but May loved our fit so much she asked me to have a photo shoot at the casino of the fit. I will post pics of those soon.

At the end of the show on Friday, we were told what the new challenge for the coming week was going to be. A list of 10 icons were provided and the winner of the episode was given first choice and then got to assign the remaining icons to us. The icons included Marilyn Monroe, Cher, Madonnna, Farrah Fawcett, Kathern Hepburn, Audrey Hepburn, Jackie Kennedy, Dianna Ross, Twiggy, and Pam Grier.
We were assigned Twiggy. If you don't know who she is. She was like the 1st super model from the 60s: http://bleubirdvintage.typepad…..wiggy.html
Looking forward to working on this challenge this week!

Great show last night. My designer, Bailey, and I came in 4th so we are still in the running and we down to 9 designers and models now. Sorry, I know I still need to post pics of the fit I wore last night to the show. I will try to do a photo shoot today since we have 14 hour maintenance 2morrow. For details of what went down last night go to: http://badd-inc.webs.com/apps/…..ho-make-us-
This week's challenge looks tough. We will be working in teams of 3 to come up with outfits for 3 different regions, but we won't know until Friday which region each team will get! http://badd-inc.webs.com/apps/…..enge-hints

Sorry, I am behind on posting for 2 episodes for this show.
Episode 4 of Project Runway 4 was originally supposed to be on March 9, but was postponed to March 11 due to a family emergency for the host, PrincessDomaro. The challenge for that week a team challenge where we broke out into groups of 3 designers and models. Each group would have to come up with 3 outfits for a particular region. The 3 regions were New York, New York, USA; Bollywood, India; and Milan, Spain. Within a region, we would be making a day wear fit, an evening wear fit, and a high-fashion fit. The teams were not told ahead of time which region they were gonna get so had to prepare for all. The team I was on ended up getting Bollywood and here is the fit that I wore in Episode 4. During the show, we added the extra touch of using the white tiger companion, but I couldn't take a pic with it cuz I was using the camera as an active item already.
For a recap of the show go to: http://badd-inc.webs.com/apps/…..n-fashion-
Here are some shots of the outfit that I wore that night that I took myself:

This past Friday, March 16, was Episode 5 of Project Runway 4. The challege of the week was to create outfits for the natural elements: Fire, Water, Air, Earth. Each of the designers/models were going to face off against another in pairs, with each "duel" being for a particular element. Again, we didn't know which element we were going to get until Friday's show. As always, we get an hour to design a fit during the "working session" of the show, but of course, we prepared during the week for all 4 elements. My designer and I ended up getting assignede "Water" and this is the fit that I wore Friday night for the show. It was also accompanied by the Mermaid companion that is not shown in the pics below.
